Who we are
Electric Buffalo Records is an independent, not-for-profit record label run by Cornell University students in Ithaca, NY. Founded in 2015, our mission is to support emerging artists through brand development, music releases, and live events, with an emphasis on accessibility, creativity, and community.
In addition to artist development, Electric Buffalo Records serves as a professional training ground for students interested in the music industry. Through work in A&R, marketing, events, and sound engineering, members gain real-world experience while helping build a vibrant community and exciting local music scene.
Our home
As a subsidiary of the Cornell Media Guild, Electric Buffalo Records is based next to campus at the 604 E Buffalo St radio station, home of WVBR.
